City of Toccoa to give away mulch
The City of Toccoa will be offering free mulch on the first Saturday of each month. Mulch will be loaded from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. The mulch yard is located on West Doyle Street next to the Alewine Park entrance. Tree-X and Top Notch have agreed to assist the City of Toccoa with loading of our mulch.
In order to minimize the impact of waste on landfills, the City of Toccoa recycles leaves, clippings and yard gatherings collected throughout the year.
The resulting mulch is offered to citizens at no cost.
Because the mulch is created from yard gatherings, it may contain foreign materials.
The City of Toccoa is not responsible for any damage that may occur to vehicle or trailers.
For more information, please contact Janet Dye in the Public Works Department 706-282-3297.
