Toccoa-Stephens County Humane Shelter is a non-profit organization founded to improve the lives of our four-legged residents. The shelter is located on Scenic Drive in Toccoa, just off of Prather Bridge Rd., next to the old county jail. It is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.
The shelter's mission is to improve the lives of animals, alleviate their suffering, and elevate their status in the community. We safeguard, rescue, shelter, heal, adopt and advocate for animals in need, while inspiring community action and compassion on their behalf.
Toccoa-Stephens County Humane Shelter is a a non-profit 501c3 organization, operating on private and corporate donations, grants and fundraising events. We have constructed a new Humane Animal Shelter and adoption center. This facility will serve the City of Toccoa and Stephens County, providing pet adoptions, low cost spay/neuter and vaccination clinics, high quality animal control, educational programs and community outreach. We are focused on lowering animal over-population and prevention of abuse.
If you see a dog or cat you are interested in, please give us call or email. If it is after hours, please leave a detailed message that includes your phone number. Someone will reply as soon as possible.
