2024 Downtown Parking Study

The Planning and Main Street Departments have concluded their Downtown Parking Study for the City of Toccoa. 

With 548 parking spaces in the core commercial district of downtown, and 1,357 total spaces in the broader downtown district, Toccoa compares very favorably with similar cities for total parking infrastructure. At the busiest time of day (lunch), 64.8% of downtown parking spots are full on average. And during the average day, there is a 99.5% chance that a visitor trying to park in a randomly selected street or lot will have at least one parking space available.

While downtown Toccoa definitively does not have a parking problem, there is always room for improvement, and the study also lists several incremental policies to help make parking easier and more straightforward for regulars and visitors alike.
